The concept for this work emerged during conversations on boat tours along the Bosphorus. Realizing the immense wealth of stories waiting to be told, we decided to chronicle the Bosphorus from end to end. The result is this richly illustrated and highly informative book, which reveals what often remains hidden during a tour by showcasing many previously unpublished historical documents. Just as the Bosphorus transforms over the years, the book continues to evolve and expand with every new edition.
